So not too much to highlight this week either. The biggest accomplishments were that I finished a fun class over winter term and I started running again. The class was a great intro to botany for gardeners course that I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. It was offered as an online course through UMass Amherst’s Stockbridge School of Agriculture. As I said, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, but I was happily surprised by both the information I learned (did you know there is a 4000 year old tree in California!?!) and the material that was assigned for reading (some great essays as well as an excellent textbook, The Botany of Desire).
