So not too much to highlight this week either. The biggest accomplishments were that I finished a fun class over winter term and I started running again. The class was a great intro to botany for gardeners course that I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. It was offered as an online course through UMass Amherst’s Stockbridge School of Agriculture. As I said, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, but I was happily surprised by both the information I learned (did you know there is a 4000 year old tree in California!?!) and the material that was assigned for reading (some great essays as well as an excellent textbook, The Botany of Desire). If you’re even the least bit interested in learning more about the world around you, give the class a gander. You can read more about it here.
And so that brings us to the running. As part of my goals for 2016, I started running again. To say anything more would likely be to jinx it, so I’ll leave it at that.
Again, not much to put forward here, but only because I’ve been real-life busy. Now that the hectic winter session schedule is complete, prepare yourself for imminent awesomeness! Until next week, Internet.
